Kevin Allen ~ @metawriter

Kevin Allen
Freelance Author

Kevin Allen – Metawriter/Alphawriter (1975 - and still going) Born in Jamaica and raised until the age of 10. I then migrated to Cambridge MA and attended the Charles G. Harrington middle school and then Somerville High School. I have always found myself to have a deeper understanding of words and their connotation than most people do. I also saw the comical sides to words with dark meanings and the darker meaning to words that were supposed to be kind; trust me they're there. Wordplay has always been one of the more fascinating things to me. Words are for the most part hidden agendas of the human being. My love of words and their many uses is what got me started writing. I have read the best of the best, Langston Hughes, Shakespeare, Malcolm X, Mahatma Gandhi, and Marcus Garvey are among my favorite wordsmiths but are far from the complete list. Look for me to be plastered all over the Internet.

  1. Nicely done overview/perspective on Kevin!

Especially like, "Words are for the most part hidden agendas of the human being." Talk about a quotable quote!

    Roger ☺

  2. I am with Roger on in your statement about words being a human being's 'hidden agenda'. That is very insightful and gets close to the crux of the writer's mission. I know you are a writer and author of a work of fiction "Into the Vein: Eternities' Ghost", but I wonder if your love of words has ever caused you to attempt writing poetry?

Welcome to the NWCU, Kevin, you are a worthy member of the group; I salute you.

  3. And the agenda is even sometimes hidden from the one speaking the words, an amazing thing symbolic communication and the human consciousness. Welcome, Kevin, I look forward to reading you.

  4. Lol, I plead the fifth on the agendas; but words are an important part of somethings, the ones chosen and the tone they're delivered tells a lot about a person.

Thanks to Tashtoo for this Interview and to each of you for the great comments
